Personal Veterans Day Salute
Since the American Revolution, nearly 1.2-million members of our fighting forces have died while in service to our country. Not to be forgotten are the 1.4 million who were wounded during that time. The numbers, of course, offer no reckoning of the inestimable value of these Patriots' lives or the sacrifices borne by their families, but we do know that their sacrifices defended a most precious gift -- a gift of liberty that we cherish to this day.
"It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag." USMC Chaplain Dennis Edward O'Brian
A Personal Thank You to Dad, Uncle Floyd, Uncle Bart, Uncle Chuck, Wendy, Alan, Mike, Mark, Jeff C, Jeff M, Jeff F, Joe, Nelson, Carroll, Gerald, Tom, Leslie, Scott, Brian, Tim, Billy, Ralph, Fred, and all those I served with, to many to name. A special thank you in memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice... Gene, Joey, Greg, Stevie, Raymond, and my greatest loss.... Jacob.

Staff members at the Congressional Joint Economic Committee spent four months, night and day, and weekends” assembling this amazing graphic. It was vetted based on all 2,801 pages of the Obamacare legislation. It is stunningly complex.
Does anyone, ANYONE, believe this leads to higher quality, less expensive health care in America?
The Pledge of Allegiance
Encouraging Uh! Hope we see more of it. You can hear the disappointment in the "America is evil crowd" as they try to discourage the unashamed display of pride in our country.

“Washington Experts”! Therein lies the problem; too may experts in control. It's all just so much BS and I don't see why all the pontificating and punditry is relevant. The issue this country faces is not fiscal, it’s not entitlements, it’s not security. These are symptoms of the real problem.....which is progressive liberalism, an ideology that has reached a pinnacle with he election of Obama. Liberalism, as it is currently manifested in the democrat party, has long worked to destroy the American Republic and capitalism. Obama’s past history, his relationships, mentors, and his stated beliefs clearly indicate his Marxist ideology. His arguments to the contrary simply make him a liar. Every policy, every speech, every effort undertaken by liberals have an underlying goal never discussed but presented as “for the children" or “for the American People” or “equality. The unspoken goal of socialism, statism, of more government control, goes unsaid because liberals know it would be rejected by the majority of Americans if the truth were told. So they lie. Why this isn't so blatantly obvious to the most casual observer is what we need to be discussing. What has created a climate where a man whose ideology is antithetical to this countries founding principles be elected to it's highest office? How a media failed to properly vet a candidate? How a citizenry could be so oblivious and uneducated? These are the type issues we need to be talking about. Obama's political life is a a farce built and maintained on lies. His speeches are nothing more than well crafted lies. The hubris, egotism, and elitism that it takes to stand in front of America almost daily and lie is the real story. The health care debate is a glaring example; a debate we wouldn't be having if it were really about health care reform. Most agree on reform, and bi-partisan support could be easily obtained if the current legislation were about real reform. It's about power, growing government, and the slow incremental application of Socialism as America's form of governing. An agenda and stated goal of the Progressives for many many years.
